Scooters

Motorcycle Training WA has planned a basic step by step course designed to take any brand new scooter rider through all the skills necessary to feel comfortable and confident riding a 50cc scooter/moped. If your holding a car license or you're going for a RN license you will definitely boost up your confidence.

A common problem is scooter riders on car license, the expose them self to hazards and danger on the road because of the lack of training and skills. Invest in your self with few lessons that will be covering these points:

  1. Protective Gear - Helmet, clothing, etc
  2. Basic Skills - Balancing, starting the bike, U-Turns, M.I.L.O. checks, etc.
  3. Advance Technique - Quick stop, cornering, counter steering, etc.

Motorcycles

Motorcycle Training WA uses progressive learning techniques to help explain the learning process how to ride a motorcycle. Students will first learn the basic operations and then build upon these skills until they gain full control, confidence and the accuracy that is required to ride a motorcycle. We can help train you to achieve a higher level that is required to pass you motorcycle practical examination.

  1. General briefing of the bike and rider (controls, body posture, etc.)
  2. Starting and stopping your motorcycle
  3. Clutch control and gears
  4. Gearing up and down
  5. Turning and cornering at slow speeds (friction point and visual)
  6. Crossing obstacles
  7. Correct signalling
  8. Motorcycle safety checks
  9. Road positioning
  10. M.I.L.O. checks
  11. Swerving and Counter Steering
  12. Avoiding collisions and identifying road hazards
  13. Various braking techniques at different speeds and surface (in rainy conditions)

Refresher Courses

Motorcycle Training WA has planned a 2 hour refresh course for experienced motorcyclists to brush off a bit of rust and boost up their riding skills. A perfect excuse for the rider who's getting back on a motorcycle after a long break. The students must hold a current R-E or R class licence and may use our bikes or their own motorcycle.

Advanced Ride Day

Motorcycle Training WA with Rider Training Australia is now conducting Advanced Ride Days at the AHG Driving Centre.

This program offers a unique combination being both enjoyable and challenging. You will have the opportunity to join the elite group of riders who have been trained by an experienced team that are synonymous with quality training.

It is a balanced combination of hands on practical exercises which includes training in defensive riding strategies and on road riding. It is for people who are already riding, but want to learn and practice more advanced skills. However, this is not a racing or high-performance program.

Rider Tuning Sessions

Bring your motorcycle to our unique 1.6km road circuit. Receive expert tuition from our expert riding instructors; share tips and techniques with other participants. These days are fun and for only $80 are extremely popular.

The tuning session has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of riders, so whatever your skill and experience level you will have full opportunity to enhance your riding style.

This course is the first step for the riders planning in stepping up in the racing circuit at Barbagallo Raceway.

To apply, you must complete our Advanced Ride Day before an entry can be accepted.

Rider Tuning Sessions PDF

All Terrain Vehicle

The All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) course is a highly practical and enjoyable course. This program offers participants an opportunity to increase their safety knowledge and to practice basic riding skills in a controlled environment under the direct supervision of an expert instructor.

Students practice basic safety techniques with hand-on exercises:

  1. starting and stopping,
  2. turning (both gradual and quick),
  3. negotiating hills,
  4. emergency stopping and swerving,
  5. riding over obstacles.

Particular emphasis is placed on the safety implications related to each lesson. Throughout the course the participants will have to negotiate various obstacles and hazards on our purpose built and challenging track.
